Salam 2 Group From Burkina Faso

On 12/3/14 we made a loan to Salam 2 Group. There were many good reasons to make this loan. The person in this group that is getting the loan is married and the mother of one child. This loan will help her to purchase fabric to sell in the holiday season. This group is in Burkina Faso, which is in Africa where the ebola outbreak is spreading. Burkina Faso is also a very poor country with poor health. For example, most people in this country die when they are 24.92 years old or sooner. They also make 97.41% less money than the US, meaning that in Burkina Faso the average income a year is only $1,284.

Another reason we made this loan is that we will be completely paid back in 6 months. We will also be paid back monthly. Finally, we made this loan because the loans at risk rate, default rate, and current exchange loss rate are all 0.00!
