Think You’ve Got it Bad?! Try Living on One Dollar a Day!

Allowance is a thing that most kids have. It’s when you get a little bit of money for doing chores around the house.

What if there were adults that got less money each week than you do?

In the country, Guatemala, some adults in a village get one dollar a day. So, if you get more than $7 a week, you probably make more than these people.

Does anyone ask you what you’re going to be when you grow up? If you answer police officer, firefighter, or a nurse, it’s possible. That’s not the case for these people.

Most people in this village are forced to be farmers. Even kids as young 10 years old are farmers. If you want to be something else, it may not happen.

How can help? Well, we have Kiva. For other people, there are other loaning sites that are visited to help people in need.

What can we loan for? From our $25 Kiva loans, people can pay for a child’s education. One loan pays for a kid to learn and to get a better job in the future.

If we want to improve the world’s poverty, we can start anywhere. Our blog helps the world, one loan at a time.

Is Poverty Scary?

Halloween is a time where we trick or treat, give a scare, or even prank your friends. But Halloween isn’t always spent this way.

A lot of people put up decorations, and they eat a lot of candy! Most people think that’s the best part. Others have another thing that they do.

We are still helping through Kiva, Halloween, or not. We are always writing, posting, and helping with global poverty.Image result for jackolantern

I wanted to write to say, poverty is scary. It’s a large ghost, haunting half of the worlds population. As members, we do the Ghost-Busting.

Lots of people have other ideas for candy, they plan on stopping world hunger with it! Is it a good idea though?

You can help us Ghost-Bust this halloween, and help end poverty. You can visit Kiva.org to help, and end poverty.

Are Long Loans Bad?

If you do Kiva club, usually you make loans that give back our money fast, but this isn’t always true…..

Sometimes, we have to make loans that take up to 30 months to repay! We do this for a reason.

When do we make these loans? Well, it has to be a very good loan, such as building a house for kids, or giving money for a clean toilet.

The thing is, you can’t make these loans all the time. These have to be limited and restricted through-out time. Maybe once every 10-15 loans.

If you are wondering about Kiva? Go to SMSKiva.com to learn all about our club! You can help us loan and write on our blog!

Philippines Buying Purified Water Machines

Lots of people complain about having low quality, clean water. But imagine if you couldn’t even have access to clean water at all…

In the Philippines, there isn’t much clean water. This means that clean water is rationed for everyone. Some citizens are taking matters into their own hands.

Lots of the people are buying machines for $125 to purify their water. This is a good thing for families because they can have large supplies of clean water.

These machines can also help citizens open stands to sell people water. It’s for a cheaper price rather than buying an entire machine.

As these citizens can help each other, we can help them, too. You can learn more about our club at Smskiva.com and join kiva at Kiva.org, and help the world’s poverty.
